Wayne Spring 2010

Photos: style.com

I just love the Wayne Spring 10. If I had to buy again, I couldn't choose between so many fabulous looks. I would have to just condense down a few designers and purchase more of the same designer. I just love the architecture of the dresses drape on the model. They way they are constructed on the body it looks forgiving. Must check out Barneys when this shipment comes in.

Suiting For Your Pleasure

Jacket: Alice and Olivia, Pants: Twinkle, Tee: Barneys Men's, Shoes: Bakers, Scarf: Flea Market

I saw these Twinkle Pants in a Lucky magazine in grey and I ended up getting the black ones for Christmas. They have a tuxedo detail at the waist and they are awesome. One of my many different types of style is men's wear. I find it very sexy and comfortable. It's one of those looks that I think is timeless and has power behind it. It's fun to take a timeless look and update with some gladiator sandals.

Vogue: March 09
Love Love Love this outfit. I know that this jean look is uber trendy but, I love it. It's casual, chic, and extremely sexy. Now I have to really find me a pair of the jeans or just to it myself. That could be a well to do project, diy. Hopefully it will come out right. Stay tuned.

What I love about this look is that it's just easy and anyone can do it. I would first check out my local thrift store and scan the men's Levis to shred up. If you are lucky you might find a vintage 80's leather jacket. I actually found one for 10.00. It was part of the 2 for 20.00 at the Rose Bowl flea market. If you have a flea market around your area, check it out for cool vintage finds. For the stripe shirt I would try Forever 21. Something tells me you'll find that and much more.

Get It Fixed

Dress: Cynthia Vincent Twelfth Street, Sweater: Barneys New York, Shoe: Minnetonka, Glasses: Tom Ford, Wood Necklace: Aphrodite
I got this dress at the Barney's Warehouse sale this past month. My favorite thing to do is get the things that are as is and get it fixed. I save a lot of money and get the cutest things ever. Stay tune for the Alexander Wang dresses and Rocco P. Boots. The best thing about shopping is be very selective and try stores that you wouldn't go to. I find a lot of great things at Loehmans. Another good source for goodies are boutiques during sale. Look for items that work with other items in your closet to compliment or spice up. Don't let shopping be a chore but, a fun experience of finding fashion booty.

Leader Of The Band

Jacket: Karen Kane Vintage, Top: Silk Vintage, Pants: Zara, Shoe: Barneys New York, Necklace: Aphrodite

I loved the military style jackets and wanted to find a vintage one so bad, back in 2007 I was hoping to find one that was vintage and I did. I was so ecstatic that my heart was palpitating so hard I almost fainted. I haven't found another yet, but I surely hope so. I love the deals at Zara and I found so many slouchy pants for so cheap I bought like 6 pairs. It's unbelievable how half of this outfit is vintage.

80's A Go Go

Photos Cred: Style.Com

I am obsessed with these looks. Though some of them are easily recreate able, just by popping in your local thrift store. I know I have a few of these looks in the archive of my wardrobe somewhere. The last look, this cute red ensemble is a must have and I am definitely putting down on my wish list. As I was going through the runway shows I was enamored by such creativity that Marc Jacobs has. I need all of it. Check out the LV as well. This guy is just so talented. I sat here and just stared at the pictures envisioning myself in every single piece. Wishes can come true.

Highly Waisted

I finally got to wear my high waisted Grey Ants. I am a curvy girl so, sometimes I feel a little Boom Boom but, who cares. I went to Loehmans after visiting a few of the boutiques around town. Even though everybody is 75% off, I still feel that 75 of 400 is still 100. I'm a reccessionista and I am looking for the real true bargains. I got 5 great items at Loehmans for 100 bucks. 2 Whitley Kros tops, Marc by Marc Jacobs skirt, Ali Ro blouse (shown above), and some amazing wide legged pants by Rory Beca.

This is the back side. I just love exposed zippers. It's a crop bloused and went perfect with the Grey ant Jeans.

Today's Diggs

Jeans, Paper Denim: Blouse, Velvet: Jacket, Vintage: Boots Dumond
This was today's work outfit. I thought it was best to start wearing more of the things that I have and really incorporate a lot of the old with the new, such as the vintage velvet jacket. Sometimes at night I think of different things that I have and how I would wear them and say to myself, " I don't need another thing but what happens is I don't really listen to self. This is the L.A. uniform for winter, boots and skinnies.

Style For Today

Dress: Sue Stemp, Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Boots: Steve Madden

This is really a dress but, not to appropriate for work due to the length. The one thing about my body type is that it's very curvy and not to much on top. Finding things that fit proportionately can be difficult when you need the upper to be small and the bottom to be medium. Hence, the tank top or you will be seeing a lot more of me. To do list for that, get it altered. Most things have to be altered to look right and that is just the way it is. Especially when you find things that are thrifted. I am able to see the beauty of something frumpy and turn it into something amazing that looks like I bought it at Barney's. Those are the pieces that are exciting because when someone likes it, there is no other one out there. It truly becomes one of a kind.

Sequins And Fur

This was an outfit that I wore for a Christmas dinner party.
I was ecstatic when my sister brought this dress home from a
local thrift store in the area. Usually this area isn't conducive to
amazing finds. But, I was so excited to see this sequins, 80's, bohemian
style dress. I thought the perfect thing to wear with it is my new
rabbit coat/ vest.

Floral Fever

Dress: Marc Jacobs

Jacket: Nicholas K

Boots: NineWest

This was my outfit for the Create Fixate Show that was a week ago. Yeah I am slow. Life can be very busy and one can get very lazy. I will try to keep up with the post. I just love this dress. It is amazing and so luscious in person. I just love the colors and even though it is spring 08, I did try to incorporate a little winter with tights, boots, and the leather jacket.

Furtastic

I must say, it's time to pull out all the furs. I love the leather fur combo with the matching bag. If there is anything that I desire in the fall, it's grey leather mixed with fur. This outfit is so simple but, yet so tres stylish. I need!

I Want Boots

Boots: Bakers Shoes
Uhhh! Me love these boots so much. They remind me of the Gucci's. They are definitely a lust must.

Stylish Youth Inspiration

Photo: Seaofshoes
Jane has such amazing style and she kind of reminds me of myself when I was younger. She takes so many fashion risks and it works. It's fun and it sets you apart from everyone else. I love her taste in high fashion. Though some of us may not be able to afford such exquisite luxurious, there is still room for expression of great taste and great style. I admire someone like her.
Here's a tip about luxury. You can find so much at great sales. Daily Candy is one great way of finding what's out there in your area and only shopping at the end of the season for the deals at your favorite boutiques or department stores. Go to warehouse sales and put yourself on lists, so that you are first to know upcoming events. Another thing to do is to save your money on the things that are going to have a lasting impression and always use your creativity. I think from there it just flows.

Indie Girl

MOMA Film Gala Honoring Baz Luhrmann
Yahoo Movies

Maggie Gyllenhaal has to be one of my favorite actresses, alongside Parker Posey, whom I just adore. Look how adorable her style is. She has the most incredible style and she is always put together. She is one of those girly girls. So, I chose this pix because I lust after that amazing fur and chic LBD. Check out her movies, one of my favorites is The Secretary. It's cute in a dark romantic way. Oh and the clothes are cute as well.

I am so in love with this jumper by Sonia Rykiel. It's like I need and want it in my life. I think to myself, self what can I do to get this jumper. I simply just love the way it flows and it's so casual but, yet sophisticated. On the other hand, I need to have that rock n roll lovely above as well. Cure me please.

It's Almost Winter Time

Dress: Tucker
Scarf: Barney's New York
Vest: Solomio
Boots: Nine West
Belt: Nicholas K
The great thing about the economy is the great sales. I got this great dress at the Fred Segal sale in Hollywood. Not only did I stumble upon that one, there were many more. During my time in Venice last week, I stroll along Abbot Kinney and scoured some of the great shops along the street. The vest I found at a cute shop called Principessa. Everytime I go there I find something fun and unique and for a great deal. That's the great thing about them it has all price ranges. This fashionista is now a recessionista and doing it with style.

I just love this look. I love the hair and the way she has this hard but, girly soft look. I wonder who the dress is by. Maybe I can come up with the same look. Well, stay tune it just might be possible.
