Auf Wiedersehen

Dress: Vena Cava, Jacket: Vintage CK, Sweater: Barneys, Tee: LAMB, Belt: Dries Van Noten, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Bag: Balenciaga

This was my friend Rozonna's going to New York dinner party and of course had to dress. Why so many layers? It was freezing. Just one of those L.A. weather moments when one day it's 80 and the next it's 50. We had an awesome time though at Manchego's, a Spanish tapas restaurant in Santa Monica on Main. It was delicious and the atmosphere was very quaint.

Balmain Inspiration Part Deux

Jacket: Flea Market, Jeans: Target, Tee: Target, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Messenger Bag: Barneys New York

I am definitely obsessed with Balmain. I love that I stumbled upon these jeans that I've been dying to find at Target, and for the price I thought why not. The best thing to do with trends is find them at a discount. The only splurge in this outfit is the bag and shoes.

Strap Em Up

Shoes: Bakers

I am not much into shoes that aren't leather but, I had to grab these babies for a mere 10.00. Wouldn't you?

What I am Wearing

Sweater: Barney's New York, Jeans: January, Tunic: L.A.M.B., Shoes: Minnetonka, Necklace: Natalie B.

Todays Duds for a relax day at work.

Top: Bull Couture, Slouchy Pants: Zara, Shoes: Sam Edelman, Necklace: F21

I just got this top from a cute store in my area called Bull Couture. It has incredible lace detailing and a touch of feminity in the ruffling. I just love that victorian edge with a little M.C. Hammer pant action going on. The boots were an amazing deal at Macy's so I couldn't pass them up.

Alexander McQueen's McQ For Targe

Images: Target.com

Love these looks. Though the Target by my house didn't have it, I still need to see it in person. But, for now, these are my favorite looks. I love his line and he has the greatest imagination this century has seen. If you can, check out his runway shows from his main line, Alexander McQueen.

Shoulders Please

Images: Cafe Mode
I just adore these jackets. You can wear them with almost anything. I like that they have that specialness to them. It's not your typical jacket or blazer but, an added bonus to the complete look. It's unexpected and vulgar in a good way. Who said shoulder pads weren't cool?

Vogue: March 09
Love Love Love this outfit. I know that this jean look is uber trendy but, I love it. It's casual, chic, and extremely sexy. Now I have to really find me a pair of the jeans or just to it myself. That could be a well to do project, diy. Hopefully it will come out right. Stay tuned.

What I love about this look is that it's just easy and anyone can do it. I would first check out my local thrift store and scan the men's Levis to shred up. If you are lucky you might find a vintage 80's leather jacket. I actually found one for 10.00. It was part of the 2 for 20.00 at the Rose Bowl flea market. If you have a flea market around your area, check it out for cool vintage finds. For the stripe shirt I would try Forever 21. Something tells me you'll find that and much more.

Get It Fixed

Dress: Cynthia Vincent Twelfth Street, Sweater: Barneys New York, Shoe: Minnetonka, Glasses: Tom Ford, Wood Necklace: Aphrodite
I got this dress at the Barney's Warehouse sale this past month. My favorite thing to do is get the things that are as is and get it fixed. I save a lot of money and get the cutest things ever. Stay tune for the Alexander Wang dresses and Rocco P. Boots. The best thing about shopping is be very selective and try stores that you wouldn't go to. I find a lot of great things at Loehmans. Another good source for goodies are boutiques during sale. Look for items that work with other items in your closet to compliment or spice up. Don't let shopping be a chore but, a fun experience of finding fashion booty.

Inspiration Balmain

Loved this look since the first time I laid eyes on it.

Look at this fabulous military style jacket and the jeans are to die for, if you can afford 2 grand a pair.

Here's my find it yourself. I still am looking for the perfect acid wash jeans. These jeans I bought from the men's side at Barneys and decided to go big and make them into slouchy skinny style boyfriend jean. My alterations gal did amazing job in getting the jeans a bit more skinnier. The jacket was found at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I thought I was dreaming. It cost only 10.00 dollars ( oh and the jeans were 8.00 dollars plus alterations).

My sister and I went shopping at the Grove in L.A. and stumbled upon these Jeffrey Campbell look a-likes. I yelled Balmain, I have to have those. Viola the look complete.

Leader Of The Band

Jacket: Karen Kane Vintage, Top: Silk Vintage, Pants: Zara, Shoe: Barneys New York, Necklace: Aphrodite

I loved the military style jackets and wanted to find a vintage one so bad, back in 2007 I was hoping to find one that was vintage and I did. I was so ecstatic that my heart was palpitating so hard I almost fainted. I haven't found another yet, but I surely hope so. I love the deals at Zara and I found so many slouchy pants for so cheap I bought like 6 pairs. It's unbelievable how half of this outfit is vintage.

In The Closet

Dress: Meghan, Shoes: Fornarina, Fur Vest: Vintage, Necklace: Vintage, Belt: Nicholas K
I went out the other night for a friends birthday at a sushi resturaunt and thought why not bring out something from the closet. As a recessionista you have to play with the things that you already have. So I decided on this kimono style dress by Meghan.

80's A Go Go

Photos Cred: Style.Com

I am obsessed with these looks. Though some of them are easily recreate able, just by popping in your local thrift store. I know I have a few of these looks in the archive of my wardrobe somewhere. The last look, this cute red ensemble is a must have and I am definitely putting down on my wish list. As I was going through the runway shows I was enamored by such creativity that Marc Jacobs has. I need all of it. Check out the LV as well. This guy is just so talented. I sat here and just stared at the pictures envisioning myself in every single piece. Wishes can come true.

Highly Waisted

I finally got to wear my high waisted Grey Ants. I am a curvy girl so, sometimes I feel a little Boom Boom but, who cares. I went to Loehmans after visiting a few of the boutiques around town. Even though everybody is 75% off, I still feel that 75 of 400 is still 100. I'm a reccessionista and I am looking for the real true bargains. I got 5 great items at Loehmans for 100 bucks. 2 Whitley Kros tops, Marc by Marc Jacobs skirt, Ali Ro blouse (shown above), and some amazing wide legged pants by Rory Beca.

This is the back side. I just love exposed zippers. It's a crop bloused and went perfect with the Grey ant Jeans.

Jeans, Grey Ant: Blouse, Ali Ro: Necklace, Vintage: Blazer, Vintage; Shoes, Vintage DKNY

Today's Diggs

Jeans, Paper Denim: Blouse, Velvet: Jacket, Vintage: Boots Dumond
This was today's work outfit. I thought it was best to start wearing more of the things that I have and really incorporate a lot of the old with the new, such as the vintage velvet jacket. Sometimes at night I think of different things that I have and how I would wear them and say to myself, " I don't need another thing but what happens is I don't really listen to self. This is the L.A. uniform for winter, boots and skinnies.

Style For Today

Dress: Sue Stemp, Jeans: Joe's Jeans, Boots: Steve Madden

This is really a dress but, not to appropriate for work due to the length. The one thing about my body type is that it's very curvy and not to much on top. Finding things that fit proportionately can be difficult when you need the upper to be small and the bottom to be medium. Hence, the tank top or you will be seeing a lot more of me. To do list for that, get it altered. Most things have to be altered to look right and that is just the way it is. Especially when you find things that are thrifted. I am able to see the beauty of something frumpy and turn it into something amazing that looks like I bought it at Barney's. Those are the pieces that are exciting because when someone likes it, there is no other one out there. It truly becomes one of a kind.

Happy New Year

This was actually last year, because this year meant staying at home and just chillin. I had to get ready for my amazing hiking trip that I took on New Years day and needed the beauty rest. It took my friend and I 5 hours to walk to the beach. Of course we had to take the alt route and discover something new. It was exhausting but well worth it. I hope you have an awesome 2009.

Sequins And Fur

This was an outfit that I wore for a Christmas dinner party.
I was ecstatic when my sister brought this dress home from a
local thrift store in the area. Usually this area isn't conducive to
amazing finds. But, I was so excited to see this sequins, 80's, bohemian
style dress. I thought the perfect thing to wear with it is my new
rabbit coat/ vest.

Floral Fever

Dress: Marc Jacobs

Jacket: Nicholas K

Boots: NineWest

This was my outfit for the Create Fixate Show that was a week ago. Yeah I am slow. Life can be very busy and one can get very lazy. I will try to keep up with the post. I just love this dress. It is amazing and so luscious in person. I just love the colors and even though it is spring 08, I did try to incorporate a little winter with tights, boots, and the leather jacket.

Furtastic

Photo Cred: FaceHunter

I must say, it's time to pull out all the furs. I love the leather fur combo with the matching bag. If there is anything that I desire in the fall, it's grey leather mixed with fur. This outfit is so simple but, yet so tres stylish. I need!

I Want Boots

Boots: Bakers Shoes
Uhhh! Me love these boots so much. They remind me of the Gucci's. They are definitely a lust must.
